"however since people keep making an issue of this i chose to see what professionals are saying & it seems that i'm right:"
I'm sorry, that sounds like something Bill O'Reilly or Glenn Beck would say.
I choose to see what professionals are saying.. as all of us disagreeing with that are not professionals already.. does that guy think we are sheeple? come on man.. if you are going to make a point, be objective give me substance, we are not 8 years old..

(Jony) Paul Ive CBE...is a British designer and the Senior Vice President of Industrial Design at Apple Inc. He is internationally renowned as the principal designer of the iMac, aluminum PowerBook G4 (and MacBook Pro), iPod and iPhone. Jony, unfortunately, really fucking likes black keys on aluminum laptops."

does apple still have problems where the keyboards were leaving marks on the screen?

I like the glossy. Puts a nice shine on things.
- It's like a spot varnish, but with no extra charge.
boobs - not really.studderine

calibrate your monitor on a glossy screen. well..you can't really calibrate laptop screens as they are shitty...but try it on a shiny imac.

Unless some technology emerges that will make glossy screens non-reflective (sounds like dry water), this article will be always valid: http://arstechnica.com/staff/fat…
People are attracted to shiny things, I call it "the magpie syndrome". Something shines, gets your attraction - gold, glass, chrome.. it's gotta be good.
They also associate glossy screens with glass they knew from TV screens. It feels kind of solid, less plasticky. While camera makers strive to provide LCD screens that are usable in sunlight, laptop makers go in the opposite direction.
There is no way apple is going back now. They want uniform experience on iPhones, iPods, laptops, desktops and whatnots.
Since I got my iPhone, I learned to sit on the shaded side of the train when watching movies on my way to work as it's useless in sunlight.I guess we can expect some degree of proliferation of lcd protector shields. If they're good in breaking the shine and actually protecting the surface - why not.
After all, who said 90's were bad.
