imac 24" / MBP?

Now, I know this is an old topic but...
I have a 24" imac that I'm selling for a laptop. Just been looking at the new specs again. I was thinking of getting a 17" but the 15" seems better from ever angle [except 4gb as standard and antiglare screen]. The look of the thing isn't as nice as previous modles but really I'll spend more time working on it than looking at it.
Any advice from lovers or haters?

why sad akrokdesign -the way it looks? The spec looks ok to me.

Just out of interest which screen is considered 'anti-glare', the matt one or the shiny one? I have never used a shiny but I would imagine its all hell with the glare.

Glossy isn't so bad, I wonder how many people who seem to hate it have actually worked with it for more than a few hours.

Just spoken to them, they said 'there is no advantage to the 17" except 2" of screen, otherwise 15" is far better'. Great advice!

I like the new macbookpro, the black surround, I agree, isn't the best looking, but I'll buy a few anyway.

not to take this thread too seriously or anything, but I recommend the 15" with the old plastic case cinema display as they are horrible for the environment and should be recycled amongst users.
