How do you connect to all things internet if you're not on a wi-fi network? Do you have to pay ATT for a service plan? — or — can you only use internet services when you're connected through a wi-fi network?

Next question.
Do you need to pay for a service that would enable the iPod to connect to a wi-fi network?

The reason I ask is in line two of the legal at the bottom of this page:
http://store.apple.com/us/browse…"Wi-Fi Internet access required for some features; broadband recommended; fees may apply."

That just refers to any ISP bills you may or may not already be paying. If you hop on an open wireless network at a cafe then it's not like Apple is going to charge you for using your iPod. It's just the same as a phone number that has a 'long distance charges may apply' warning.
