I've done a html email footer for a client, used external images that are on a server linked into the html. works fine
but the client says that whenever they send an email it doesnt display the image but a red cross.
Im just wondering if there is anything wrong with my html? or is it a outlook problem that blocks images?
has anyone had this happen to them, as I could do with some help on how to fix it?

it's more than likely their E-mail client.

most apps like outlook or thunderbird tend to automatically block images.

Can you post the HTML?

Agreed, most email clients these day will block all images unless the user accepts the recipient as a safe sender...
- right, even then thunderbird still asks you to load the images.doesnotexist

attaching images is different. most of the time those will show up in emails, but that's not the same as having an html footer.
- yeah true, ive emailed it around the office as the boss here thinks im lying and it doesnt workFallowDeer

look through the preferences on whatever email app they're using, should be pretty easy to figure out.

yes attaching images is different , your image gets blocked because it is hosted on a server .
