Looking at their site they have got some pretty slick shit going on. They have patented technology and some pretty cool software. There is no way you can recreate what they have done for $2K. Plus it looks like they have patents, so probably add another $1 million to the project for the legal bills, even if you could recreate it...which I don't think you will be able to do, or get someone else to do for that matter.

id use magento or presta to knock out a quick shop using one of the inbuilt templates - get it online and selling first - you can design it later
