We need a certain webpage to be printed allways on 1 single a4 page no mather what printer, os or browser combination. It's driving us crazy, is there a solution for this. Maybe render the page to pdf first?

'fit to page' option.

Yeh, but with 'fit to page' on some ie / windows combi's it scales way to much. We got a barcode on the page that needs to printed three times on a4 page. For some reason ie /windows sometimes scales em down to stampsize making em unreadable for barcode scanners.
Off course in 95 % of os / browser combi's its going fine but the other 5% is the problem (like most of the times).

A4 = 210 x 297mm = 595 x 842px (72dpi) = 2480 x 3508px (300dpi)
but i think because the user has the control over how his broswer prints, i.e. he can add top and bottom lines to the print and so on, only save way would be to render a A4 pdf and then let print that.
- out of interest how do you render a pdf from a page with a button? there's java or something that does it?meffid
