what's the point of teaching if they don't wanna learn?

Well, I used to assist at a museum where the instructor was teaching flash to kids that were like 10-14 or something like that. I was the only one who could get this one kid under control, he was pretty much just crazy wild at times... pretty sure he had one of those hyper conditions. (The teacher didn't have time to invest as much into one kid and control the rest of the class.) You just need to figure out what works best for them, because obviously what you're doing now seems to not be working. And then theres always the other type... "I'm never going to use this." And sometimes they're right, I know I wasn't going to use algebra etc... And it was obvious the teacher was lying to me when they said otherwise.

I guess I'm in a world where your constantly learning, and it will come from all angles - books, computer, etc. The thing is if someone ask you to help them and you spend your time to go over to their desk to help them out and you look over your shoulder to see that person playing with iphone. That almost makes me wanna blow my top.
