Hello

Unfortunately somebody wasn't at their best when they had a browse through the topics list this morning. Its easily done. I often come on here when I'm not feeling particularly chipper and over-react to something quickly that I might not have fully absorbed and understood.

i'm beginning to wonder if threads that I start are on some kind of QBN blacklist PolitikWatch.
I'm definitely on a weird blacklist for airports. Every single time I go through heathrow or into the US, I get "random searched".
EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
It's enough to make you paranoid.
- hmmm, hot girl constantly getting randomly searched... really does baffle ones mind.. ;)neue75_bold
- haha ah thanks neue. so it's not cos i is off-white?vespa

The following seems to get consistently deleted:
-Anything to do with politics
-Anything tangentially related to politics
-Anything that contains the words "goodbye," "so long," etc.
-Job posting threads
-Angry rants at QBN
-Duplicate posts and general tomfoolerySo there is a method to the madness, somewhat.

^ But Ukit A thread discussing the possible efefcts of the global economic situation on freelance operatives fits none of the above. Sure, it can be tangentially linked, but you could almost anything to politics if you really get too dogmatic.
This was an error of judgement, and it was unwittingly acknowledged in avery oblique way.

If you filter, you'll find other threads containing very similar questions - and answers. Maybe the context changed.

My uncle lost his job today. He works in investments and real estate. His company is taking a major hit and he got the axe. my guess is that many people you know will get the same boot.

Is this really the ultimate question?

As I expected, the market didn't go up today. I think the market sentiment is completely negative. They should have acted and passed the bill last weekend. I was pissed when I didn't see the bill passed sunday before the asian market opened. I was furious on Monday. It wasn't a perfect solution, but they had to act quick and they didn't. Now the market lost trillion dollars in value and still going down, completely losing confidence.
Thanks to financially irresponsible people, both lender and borrower, I now have to deal with this issue too.
Either you are a fulltimer or freelancer, you'll feel some pain. It might be good for young designer to break in since they are willing to work at cheaper rate.
