i was just going to start a FMT thread and got thinking...
wouldn't it make more sense if they were a weekly monday-friday+ and dated accordingly, so like this week's would be:
FMT092908 (MM,DD,YY)
i know fridays is the current naming convention but it just seems kinda dumb to lookup the coming friday in my calendar.
i move to officially start and date the FreeMusicThread every monday and let them snowball all week.

no, it's more like Fuck-Friday-start-this-shit-on-W... Music Thread
- moamoa0
I thought it was Aye mon then

Like ... for example this week should be:
FMT 20081003 ...
As FMT = Friday Music Thread, and the above being the most logical datestamp given everyone's country's doing their own thing.
But no one pays attention to how much this pisses me off.
YYYY-MM-DD
That's the sort order.
You fucks. :D

Why 2008? It's not like there's a 1908 FMT out there. I move to make it just 08.

i say we do it on alternate wednesdays unless the month has 31 one days.. then it fips to a tuesday or friday (to be decided at a flip of a coin)
we should also time stamp it according to the mayan calendar.
(after all we all believe we're gonna die in 2012 - so we might as well live by it)
- ukit0
YYYY-MM-DD makes no sense.
It should be MM-DD-YY. C'mon folks.
- Point50
YYYY-MM-DD = NO!
- ukit0
The most important thing is, to make a space between the FMT and the MM-DD-YY. Otherwise it can't be found in the filter.
- gentleman0
YYYY-MM-DD makes more sense for archiving
but then again who is archiving these?
- Tark0
Who invented the first thread anyway?

whatever, i'll just enjoy my music all week and maybe share in the Friday Music Thread if i've got time to waste before trying to finish up my work week. okdokey.
