I've seen a lot of portfolio sites using large images, but load surprisingly fast. Does anyone have any tips for achieving this? Particularly in Flash.

i've found that importing PNG files into Flash and letting flash encode them on teh build results in better quality images.

i've used fireworks and photoshop for web images since fireworks was first around and love both.
but.
still haven't seen any difference in saving for web through either if you know how to get the most out of each app. people will always say one is better than the other if they prefer that application.
