@Meeklo are you still making music. I bought Ableton Live and love it to death, but I want the real deal drums.
- oh you are not talking about real "sampled" drums, as in acoustics, you want machine drumsMeeklo
- doesn't the mc 303 come with the same drums from 808 909 and others and its like $200 bucks now?Meeklo
- 808 is all analog, so every hit is slightly different. 909, only kick is analog, all others are pcm waveformsacescence

I'm trying to get back into it, I haven't made anything in probably 1-2 years though..
I use one of these:
my girl got it for my bday and I used mainly for video, but I'm using it w ableton no problem. Both the drum pad and live detect each other without the need of setting up anything..
can you believe that?
I took it right out of the box to a stage plugged in and it was working

it's really only worth getting a 909 if you have a really nice A/D converter, and even then maybe only for the kick drum. you're really better off with sampled 909, especially since you have more programming flexibility with it. now, an 808 might be a different story...

@acescence really? So an 808's better to had the real drum machine.. 909's only worth it for the kick?
