the auto refresh

  anyone who might be ajax savvy know how the PVN auto refreshes anytime someone posts? i say ajax because i assume that's what it is.

  is there something i should be searching for? i've just been looking up message board auto refresh with mixed results.

  is there an ajax library that handles stuff like this? a plugin? a tutorial?

  much appreciated.

  it doesn't know when someone has posted, it's just polling the server every 3 seconds or so using javascript setInterval()
