Heading down to Austin this weekend for ACL. Anyone know of any good food spots near downtown?

Yes. You have to go to Iron Works BBQ. It's incredibly delicious.

Ditto on Iron Works. Man I love food in Austin. Great Tex-Mex, breakfast tacos, BBQ. Oh it makes my mouth water.
If someone opened a BBQ/breakfast taco stand here in Chicago, the place would do incredible business in the right part of town. There are great Texas BBQ places, but nobody has breakfast tacos. If I had the money and the know how I would seriously look into starting a restaurant like that.

Mexican: Polvo's is a little outside of downtown, but very good. Gueros is pretty good - South Congress area. Torchy's has great tacos - http://torchystacos.com/
Italian - Vespaio or Enoteca, http://www.austinvespaio.com/
Lambert's is downtown - amazing "gourmet" bbq, burger, fish, steaks

I went to ACL last year. Good times. If you have an extra day and a car, you should hit The Oasis. They call it "the sunset capital of Texas." It's a pretty casual place... good mexican food and some other stuff. Great view of the sunset over Lake Travis.
