Whats folks think of the new Kings of Leon album then?
Farking nice if you ask me, i like the subtle bit of "electro" here and there.
"sex on fire" - such a simple but powerful song. absolute POP MUSIC genius.
Get the album from itunes and get a couple of vids and a bonus track in the deluxe version.

too much screaming and noise... couldn't find the melody

well ive not been a longtime fan of theirs. one of the guys i work with used to play the last album over and over through his laptop speakers at an annoyingly low volume. this meant i never actually heard the music , just random screams everynow and then so hadnt really formed much of an opinion of them musically.
absolutely love "sex on fire", really CANNOT get it out of my head - that's "perfect pop"

I know of someone who saw bono in a NY bar/restaurant, went over to say hi, ended up knocking his sunglasses off the table and standing on them. Man I wish it was me!!!! lol. Then when bono bent down to pick them up he'd get a full-pelt kick in the puss! haha

mm just got it, the three 'singles' are great.. real good, but the rest is a bit bland i think - I love their other stuff, perhaps the rest of the tracks will grow on me, but first impression - not so good.

I like it, just the same as I've like all their other cd's. Not excellent not crap. Definitely better than the 3.8 Pitchfork review. I'd give it a 7.8.

Pitchfork fucking REALLY hate KoL, its cos the singer's lyrics are shite ostensibly but I think he must have fucked some Pitchfork guy's girlfriend or something because the chat on there is way vehement

I think they're pretty decent solid band. And they seem to release at least an album a year like proper working bands used to - none of this every 3 or 4 years bullshit. I did love their first album but find it quite weak now. Didn't really get the second album but their 3rd blew me away. And I think this new one is just as good if not better. They keep growing and growing which for an average rawk band is pretty good going.

Think the new album is OK, I prefered when they had long hair and beards and their image and sound was less 'clean-cut'!! Hopefully it'll grow on me as im going to their gig in december!
