There's talent and there's work and then there is passion.
The person with 10% work, 100% talent and 50% passion will lose out everytime to the person who is 100% work 10% talent and 51% passion. Adjust the numbers as you will, but work will trump talent 99% of the time.

the left and right brain thing is very simplistic and has frustrated the scientists who actually know a thing or two about his stuff for years. Its another of those things that people love to shout about because it 'proves' what a fantastically gifted, sensitive and creative soul they are in comparison to the others around them when really they're not significantly different from anyone else, physiologically

To me greatness comes from the ability to see the world clearly and generally in a different light than 98% of the population.. It goes hand in hand with being able to understand the way things work and the way people feel... to see what everybody else has seen, but to think what nobody else has thought...
