I would try to make one for sure, but it seems unecessary at first glance.

as it's not really easy to browse in 3D space, 3D mainstream web will probably not happen. but has some potential for games, microsites, aso...more interesting are google's streetview and immersivemedia 3dvideos at the moment

The real factor in 3d spaces not being taken up is that the average user's machine hasn't be able to keep up and deliver a high quality enough experience, so we've ended up with huge amounts of white space and shiny shit everywhere.
