Arrrrrrgghhhh.... I'm trying to include this symbol in my flash html text box.... have tried embedding it and all sorts, even using different codes like ...

Which typeface are you using for the text?
Seems a symbol pretty common on all western-european subsets.
Have you tried typing it into the "embed selected glyphs" field?
Are you pulling in text from XML?

yeah, check if it's even in the font you're using.

Seems to me that problem might be the font.
I encounter sometimes problems like this when using pixel fonts and en or em dashes or other stuff like that as those fonts sometimes don't have those characters.

I think the problem is/was you were using unicode-codes for the sign, but your font is a Type1 font.
