I'm not sure I understand what part of the image you are referring to?

its bringing in perspective
and creating depth.you would need to create depth using contrast at the bottom and use shading in elements for make it seem like there is some lighting

the firebrand thing has 3 shapes, left to right swoosh deeper and right to left lower and circular area in the middle, you can feather it to make them combine more
