If it were me, I'd probably do the overall frame in a 3D program, then manually do the picture alignment (twist/distort\/perspective/etc) and 'shading' in Photoshop.

I would draw it in Illy then do what Nairn said

Do you have access to a basic 3d app?
- No never did anything with 3D, but I think I should start sometime soon.Shepstar15

what about the iTwistFilm plugin?
why wouldnt you use that?

I'd probably print the photos out on a long strip, emply 4-5 people to hold the strip in the neccesary places once I have twisted it into place, take a photo and brush out the hands

Yeah, create the twisted film part first in 3d prog, then import into Photoshop and create a mask. Next align photos over film in photoshop with transparency turned up and use "distort" to tweak and fit them accordingly. That's what I would try at least.

Thanks for the info, that's what I thought how you would do it, but I always find the distort filters don't have enough possibilities to get an image the right way.
I'll have a look at that sometime when I have more time.- Use PS's "Warp" feature, you can define as many latices as necessary to warp images.nikdaum
- could mesh tool in Illy work for something basic?alicetheblue
- Can you give me a short hint were to find the Warp tool. I use a german photoshop so the name is completely different. ThanksShepstar15

if you were going to render the strip in 3d anyway, might as well add the photos to it then as a surface and render the whole thing out with proper lighting and shadow.
- Aye, which is why Dancer's method's probably wisest. I was just trying to think how I'd work out perspective in an IllyNairn
- document - keeping those individual pictures scaling right would drive me potty.Nairn
- Mind you - looking closer at it now - I don't think they've got the individual image sizes 'right' anyway.Nairn

Hi everyone
I am using paint shop pro X2 to design my wedding album.
I have been trying to create a twisted/curved filmstrip similar to the one above for ages. but i have had no luck.
Can someone explain to me how to make one without the 3D software?
If i do need the 3D software please can you recommend a good software for me.
Any help/advice will be appreciated!!
