London is awesome. anyone who says otherwise either needs to move somewhere slower or have a little sunny holiday as it's quite hard work. You can do anything you want here.
People take a little while to settle in usually so have some savings to live off for a few months while you figure it out.

Vespa's pretty much hit the nail on the head. I wouldn't worry about the credit crunch - that's just a creation of the shitty media over here (con point) which I've yet to see any evidence of myself. And you know what? If bread and milk costs more, it's not going to leave a professional photographer destitute.
