A draft House Republican repeal bill would dismantle the Obamacare subsidies and scrap its Medicaid expansion, according to a copy of the proposal obtained by POLITICO.

On the one hand, I really hope Trump completely fucks everything up bigly yuge. And totally trashes America.

But what should we expect? Most Americans are too stupid to understand why things like this matter.

Muhammad Ali Jr. detained by immigration at Florida airport

Muhammad Ali Jr., son of the late legendary boxer, was reportedly detained for several hours by immigration officials at a Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

According to a report by the Courier-Journal, Ali and his mother Khalilah Camacho-Ali were arriving at the airport from a Black History Month event in Jamaica on Feb. 7 when they were pulled aside by customs and asked if they were Muslim.

Ali's lawyer Chris Mancini told the Courier-Journal that while Camacho-Ali was let go, her son was questioned for almost two hours about his origin, where he was born and his religion.
Ali is a Muslim born in Philadelphia and holds a U.S. passport.

George Clooney savages Trump and Bannon for being part of the 'Hollywood elite'

"Trump has 22 acting credits and earns $120,000 a year from the Screen Actor's Guild's (SAG) pension fund. He is a Hollywood elite and Steve Bannon is a failed film writer and director," Clooney told interviewer Laurent Weil.

"That’s the truth, that’s what he’s done. He [Bannon] wrote a Shakespearean rap musical about the LA riots that he couldn’t get made. He made a lot of money off of Seinfeld. He’s elitist Hollywood, I mean, that’s the reality."

Trump falsely claims lines 'go back 6 blocks' for CPAC speech

President Trump falsely claimed during his speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Friday that lines to get in stretched back “six blocks.”

It was a statement at odds with the quiet scene outside the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center, where CPAC is taking place.

There were no lines getting into the Gaylord within the hour before Trump began speaking Friday morning.

One big problem with current media is the ownership consolidation experienced over the past few decades. The US president pulling press credentials for a few major media outlets provides a good opportunity for smaller more independent organizations to step in.

The best thing that could happen for a free press is to expand the market beyond GE, News-Corp, Disney, Viacom, Time Warner, and CBS.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Con…

    • Any comment on the fact that the outlets blocked from access are the same agencies investigating Trump-Russia connections?BuddhaHat
    • "In 1983, 90% of US media was controlled by 50 companies; today, 90% is controlled by just 5 companies."IRNlun6

    • But there is an investigation going on into ties to Russia. You're saying the media shouldn't report on that? Why did Trump fire his national security advisor?yuekit
    • Alternative media isn't always better. It's delusional to think that Breitbart is a better news source than the New York Times. They don't even really do anyyuekit
    • They're free to act as bias and opinionated as they want. Don't be surprised that they won't get the access they think they deserve for being so biased.IRNlun6

    • It's completely fucking laughable. Trump and his people are about a thousand times worse than the people they are criticizing as "fake news."yuekit
    • 50, 100, 1000+ more media outlets has far greater chance of less bias than 5. That is my larger point.IRNlun6
    • It shouldn't come as a surprise that the presidents are more preferential to outlets that put them and their policies in a better light.IRNlun6
    • You have to admit the companies singled out have a massive bias against Trump. Not admitting that would be like saying Fox didn't have a bias against Obama.IRNlun6
    • What comes as a surprise is our Pres is such a sad joke that he's controlling the media himself. Do you not see the hypocrisy?? Fake, but only if you disagreeformed
    • Completely fine to make up blatant lies and tell the public as though it were fact. No problem there?? Is that biased reporting too?formed
    • The problem is if Trump comes out and lies everyday (which he does), the media is going to call him out on it.yuekit
    • If a politician lies or commits unethical acts on a greater than average basis, you would hopefully expect and want the press to come down on them more harshly.yuekit
    • But for some reason people like you interpret that as "bias" -- when it's simply the press doing their job.yuekit

    • I'd prefer a breakup of these big companies. More options, less centralized.IRNlun6
    • As people have pointed out many times, Trump banning press orgs that do a tough job reporting on him has nothing to do with that though.yuekit

As Bill Maher mentioned, we know only one side of the campaign was hacked...by the Russians. And we know for a fact that people in the Trump campaign had talks with the Russians during the campaign.
