ever sit on the phone for like an hour or two and this person at the other end just wont shut up or stop reiterating everything in their own words while your ear begins to sweat and you start ignoring them and scanning QBN for some semblance of "yes I can relate?"

Dog_Opus, so you say you are sorry to hear it? you have dealt with it in person? But never on the phone? What do you mean never on the phone? Saying you are sorry, as you just did, when saying "sorry to hear it, man" before you began talking about dealing with it in person and that you never did so on the phone, what about it? ok.. where was i? ooh yes, you said you were sorry, you said you were sorry to hear it, didn't you? You know how i feel about the fact that you say you are sorry to hear it? And that you have dealt with it before? But never on the phone? You said you were sorry, but you have dealt with it....

Was just there yesterday. My copywriter and I were talking beforehand about the slaughter our project was going to undergo by a very anal and un-adventurous client. Sure enough the slaughter took place in slow motion. We'd been trying for weeks to bring into light such awesome concepts as information architecture and target market whilst our contact's assistant (client on vacation) was trying to art-direct the shade of grey that a sofa was in a photo. So I just sat quietly and surfed qbn.
Whaddya do? The most boring clients pay the best though....

Some of my friends are like this, but I try not to let it get to me. I wouldn't want to deal with it for business though...
