ok, if this idea is worth a shout then who's in and who can contribute?the main crunk of the work would be the programming side of things as it would have to have some basic CMS and member system etc.

I think the simplest functionality would be just "start new topic > post pics > commence flaming" but I suppose you'd need a way to stop it just turning into a standard chat forum, wouldn't you?

i like the idea of using a blog template as it would present the homepage with all the pics from the original post (then you click through to read the crits and comments etc)
whereas a forum doesnt show the artwork at the outset - youd need to look in EACH posting to see what was in there.Rybo et al
