I got a buddy that is looking for a wordpress site for his cover band. Anybody know of any good wordpress sites that are designed for bands?

I'm working on a CMS for band site management, but it has nothing too do with Wordpress and won't be ready for a while. What this means is that I wasn't able to find anything sufficient to my needs, but good luck on your search.

it's all in the plugins that wordpress community has on wordpress.org. anything you can imagine is possible. (I'm talking self-hosted obviously), just grab a good template, customize and add the pages with the respective media and content. there are also plugins to fetch myspace content into posts or pages. ... other than that, on wordpress.com (remote-hosted) I don't know

I find textpattern a bit easier for setting up a more "traditional" site. There's a good event management plugin for txp - which would come in handy for gig listings.
