Don't bother with spitalfields market on sunday, its rubs and cunt central.
Go to Brick Lane instead, cunty in a different way but more fun/interesting

Broadway market on Saturday is good although not so easy to get to. I like Greenwich for the market and views from the park. Borough market near London bridge is fantastic for food, make sure you stop by there if you're walking along the South Bank. Exhibition wise - The Design museum is good and has a good shop. Shoreditch is good for a night out. I would also advice a day trip out of London (shock horror) to somewhere close but nice - Brighton, Cambridge, Oxford, Bath are all within a couple of hours (and an overpriced train fair) away.

As I'm getting older and wiser these days...
Carnival on a Sunday is brilliant Good Times and Panza especially. You dont need to pee if you just drop a pill :P and if you've not done it before get on it.. Hit Secret Sundayz after that.
All London Markets have become shit, but Columbia Road is good for breakfast.
but my perfect day (Saturday or Sunday) is get to putney bridge and walk down the thames to Richmond (couple of hours)
http://www.thames-path.org.uk/th…There are about 25 pubs, dip in at leisure and at the end get fish and chips and sit on Richmond green watching the cricket with a couple of cans. It's what I do with out of towners :)
Sad I know but :)
Other cool shit in my opinion (and teh wife who works for timeout)
Friday lunchtime at Borough Market
Never ever get board of the British Museum or National Gallery. The Courtauld institute is my favourite gallery for what its worth. and the portrait gallery has a cracking restaurant.
Fulham FC is a good place to rock up and get football tickets for a premier league game.
Always some good gigs going on. http://www.timeout.com/london/fe…
erm the ferry from Richmond to Greewich is nice.
For general evening's out East is best, but don't rule out places like Chiswick on the river and Notting Hill. Some great places to eat around London Feilds in Hackerney these days, esp Broadway market.
Over and out. Have fun

Genally walking in London is brilliant. It's the greenest city in the world, parks river etc etc.
I wholehearted recommend these:

Sound system map for non-locals, print it out before you go:
http://rbkc.gov.uk/nottinghill08…i'd suggest getting the tube to kensal rise and walking down to the top end of the carnival. if you are with girls, tell them to not to wear heels!
Best sound systems:
KCC
Aba Shanti
Sancho Panza
finish up at Good Times (round the back of the crowd, facing the bus there's a dead end that is a bit quieter if you are tired and need to sit down...)

As well as exploring, ill also be celebrating my 25th birthday (yesterday) - if anyone wants to help.

If you like theatre and you are in London, you have to catch a show.
Lots of classic stuff, or even the alternative stuff like LOTR musical. I was dragged thinking it would be a total joke and was pretty decent. The hydraulic stage's flexibility was great for sets.
http://www.lotr.com/sights_sound…If the sun breaks, have a drink along the Thames. There was a nice place right near the Millenium bridge on the Jubilee walkway, if I recall.
