Great monday! I turned on my Mac pro at work this morning and it simply won't start. Everything looks normal until the wallpaper comes up before all apps and folders...but then... it freezes
What could it be? what can i do? Thanks!

it could be thatthe Qoob decided to send you a crappy one that dropped on teh floor and said hey i knowlets have a design competion and give the broken mac book to a unluckly nter!!!!

use the disc that came with it and do a hardware test? maybe try zapping the pram?

Like DeSaird said, try Safe Start. If it boots, turn off all the auto-launch programs and repair your permissions. If that doesn't work, try Disk Utility from the OSX disk.
