It was incredibly close. I can't fully understand what happened at the end. Seemed like Cavic was already there, but Phelps reached out and touched ahead of him.

This was the one sport that I really excelled at as a kid, and victory quite often comes down to milliseconds. The touch pad doesn't lie, though.

If you haven't seen the video, the weird thing is Cavic is already under the water reaching for pad while Phelps still has his arms behind his back!!! You do clearly see that he JUST makes it in front tho.

0.01 wow that was amazing. Cavic was at the final stroke and had to add an extra push (glide) while Phelps was in mid stroke and finished his stroke at the pad. Wow!
