hey all...
Anyone got any idea why the footer div on my page
http://www.relentlessrentals.com…
doesn't make it to the bottom of the page in IE, but is fine in FF ?
It's set to clear: both as you can see in the css, and the container divs for the one's it's clearing have a height attribute..
Bloody thing.

can't really tell... the fact you have something set to height:100% might have something to do with it

Try adding this to your footer:
position: absolute;
bottom: 0;

position:relative;

hrm. this is most odd...
I tried the absolute, bottom 0 solution, makes sense, is valid, and explicitly heighted the other elements, made sure it was clearing things that had been floated, but it's jamming at the bottom of the visible page size for me, NOT the bottom of the actual document.
When I resize the browser it tucks itself up and stays on the screen, underneath the other content.
Is there some obvious, common IE type css Im missing here? :/

ah 'position: relative;' on my footer div fixed it...
Any good explanations as to why ?Thanks, zarkonite, much appreicated.
- haha not sure... i'm assuming it had something to do with how you were nesting your divs7point34
- other than that it was IE being pure IE7point34
