why is "welfare" considered a bad thing around here? what´s wrong with sharing the wealth?
- some people feel their money is going toward things/people that don't deserve. they want to choose who/what their money goes toemukid

There's a school of thought in the U.S. that says we should spend nothing on these things at all. Ironically the "conservative" politicians who get elected end up spending more.
