Bike Accidents...

At my freaking party
So as i try to cater different events to the miami crowd... I do a bike race once a month from somewhere in the beach to downtown
this is the route
so anyways... the first race we had like 8 to ten people... like 4 months ago... last night we had about 40 to 45... its at 10pm and and no of course the city is not involved even if they wrote us up in the newspaper...
First time we did it i told my partner..."hmm i think we should get waivers...release forms you know"
Well it was bound to happen we had like 3 accidents last night... a dude cut off by a car he dodge it a flew over the handle bars into a decorative rock and the standard hotel... second a girl trying to get into the sidewalk cuz of a car... she didn't make it... fell head against the curve and road rash in the face... sat up and as she goes "i'm ok(insert girly voice in fear" she touches her neck just to find her hand covered in blood... it took a hot second to get her to call the paramedics... and the third i dont know enough details about it yet
hope it doesn't come back to hunt us... we were just trying to do something different for them!

hopefully you arent held accountable for these cyclists stupidity and carelessness though.
i have absolutely no sympathy for them.
id presume firstly they were breaking the city speed limits - even though they are on a bike they are still breaking the law.you certainly wouldnt get the city or local papers giving a car race through the city a positive writeup!

hehe, yeah i could see it being a laugh likes.but i dont think that would be the point of view of the police or the mother whos kid is run over if this was an organised drunken car race through the city. a high speed bicycle is just as capable of killing or maming (as your report demonstrates) as a car.

And by the way - i'm not a boring c*nt!
I just really can't stand the way that cyclists think they are above the law or think it doesnt apply to them when it comes to the rules of the road.

Calles, would you want to organize something big enough for the city to be involved? Even if it were to just close a street down for a bike block party. Does this sort of thing exist?
