opentype sesame?

In a related matter, I have been admiring the new Numbers set from Hoefler & Frere-Jones. Yummers. Can’t justify the expense just to have “something nice”, though.

thx 100, that makes sense.
also, if you're using Opentype then using the submenu from teh character menu is the way to go - you can select which things you want activated (alternate versions, glyphs, etc etc) otherwise you'd be manually adding that shit for every letter.
- I do all my “typing” from the Glyph menu these days.MrOneHundred
- yes but other people have real deadlines you fucker.airey

The Glyph palette does not lie.

wtf are lowercase numerals anyway? can someone link me in!
- numerals with ascenders and descenders. You might know them as “old style” numerals.MrOneHundred
- You know, the ones that clients always freak-out about when used in an annual report.MrOneHundred
- Dr_Rand0
they must not be built in to this typeface
- MrOneHundred0
With the type tool selected, go Type menu, Glyphs. All the characters in any font will be available with a double-click.

check the options menu to the right of the character panel. saying that, lowercase numerals?
- Dr_Rand
is there an InDesign command to access them?
