looking for somewhere like a props company where I can get hold of a bunch of fake brand beer and wine bottles.
any ideas?

there is one in isslington that we used recently for phones guns and briefcases. no idea if they do fake beer. will look up the name.

Thanks bluejam, looks like they only have champagne bottles or 'vintage' bottles but I'll give them a ring.

You couldn't just print up your own fake labels and get your employer to buy you a case or 12 of bottled booze, to apply them to?
Or, go that early 80s route and just get a black on grey helvetica printed labels saying 'WINE' or 'BEER' in bold?

- well yes that was the original idea, just thought it would save having to mock up say 20 realistic looking fake brands... will likely have to do that tho********

- South American cerveza brands (findable in flickr) would be easy to mix together and mock quickly, I'd imagine.detritus

- You're right. I hadn't considered the fact that we're living in what the people from the 80s would view as dystopiadetritus
