If you get "the big idea" here does that person get a piece of the action?

Try useing a thesaurus to find related words, wiki them and see if they throw up anything. I can't remember if you said what the project is actually about, but there may be an avenue there too. Try to avoid words that are so unusual that they are unpronounceable and if all else fails stick an r at the end and misspell it.

you say 'personal trust/credibility online' - what do you mean exactly? As in you are a nice person on forums, you don't stalk jailbait or what?

Blackspade, personally I associate those letters with the worse elements of the tech community - the hackzors, script kiddies and worst of all.. tech monkeys - people who are more interested in the tech than the human. Ironically, it's probably these sort of people who you could most entrust yourself to, as they're results-oriented, but sadly they're the sort of people that normal people just don't get.
Also, from a graphic point of view, they're jagged, harsh forms with too many paths and open ends - I 'trust' closed, rounded and warm letters more - o/p/a/b, etc
Here are two (related) companies who deal somewhat in the sphere I think you are targetting...
- garlik stumps my theory utterly, the bastards :)detritus
- haha no I think your points are still valid, we've looked at both of these sites in detail, thanks for your thoughts!blackspade
