The Red Dawn remake is absolutely killing me.

I don't think I will care since I'm seeing many of these for the first time. Until they start remaking remakes. I'll give it 10 years.

Hahah yea. We're in the same boat. I remember these movies/ shows from like popular culture but none enough to be vested I guess.
Except the A-Team.
- But I wasn't even old enough to watch when that was on its original run.********

how weird you should mention remakes. I went right to The Bad Lieutenant, the original with harvey keitel was super fucked up. NC-17 and really disturbing. Now I read that Werner Herzog is remaking it with Nick Cage as the star. Why? that movie was great as it was.
You're right, not an original idea in hollywood.

'Meet Dave' was a new idea.
- Actually, I liked that movie, haha.********

- And none of you whiners went to go see it now, did you? LOLukit
- Then again I love Eddie Murphy. I mean there were some real dumb parts but it wasn't "not-watchable."********
- noooooo, flavorful....nooo ;)Jaline
- Haha, Eddie Murphy has been like my hero since I was a kid though. I always watch his movies.********
- I even liked Pluto Nash, but then again, I think I make myself like these movies.********
- I find redeeming qualities in them, because I want to. :X********

It's no mystery why they do it. It costs more to introduce a new story and characters and convince people it's worth seeing. With remakes you have an audience already locked in.

Plus, I mean, some of these people involved on these projects loved the things they are remaking and are trying to make it better, or up to date with the now technology of film making.

- "modern actors" FUCK OFFGreedo
- For my generation then? But still seasoned. Not sure how to explain it. By the way, I didn't mind this film.Jaline
- I want people now who are the same age as all the original actors were in the original film. Is what I mean.Jaline
