We have produced some order forms for a client which is meant to be printed on carbon paper, but for now he wants to try and use them digitally.
The only problem is, the pdf's we have created are not editable.
Does anyone know of a way to make an easily editable order form?

acrobat pro has a form tools palette that lets you add check boxes, buttons, and text fields

Yes Acrobat pro will do it, the only thing is that if all the people that need to edit the form will need Acrobat pro installed and at US$449.00 a pop that is an expensive way of editing forms. My company ditched editable PDF and we did it all online using forms ect. Also the people in one of our offices did not know how to use Acrobat and it was all just a major pain.

Thanks for your advice, I'll recommend the online form. As I don't think their sales people will be all tooled up with Acrobat pro.

No problems, you will save allot of time and pain if you do it via a web form (remember to secure the page so no one else can access it) and when your client needs new fields added it can be done quicker. Good luck

that's not entirely correct. the free Adobe reader versions 7 and on can absolutely save fillable PDF forms. you need to enable Adobe Reader usage rights.
