If people want to have multiple wives I see no problem w/ it. But when they get the kids involved and start marrying them off at 15, I say lock those f*ckers up.

and yes, bottom line, these fuckers know they're breaking the law... this is a very sensitive subject in this country and banging 15 year olds because you have the power to since you run compound in the name of God still does not make it legal or moral over here. I hope they get banged by multiple dudes if they get convicted.

Morality is vague people. I'm not saying it jives with MY morality per se but lets just talk about the law.

I can agree that morality is vague... for example, my grandmother left her parent's home when she was 15 and got married. I really don't feel that it was an immoral act, hell, it was probably the norm back then. But I do know that a 54 year old man trying to marry my daughter isn't anything that would go over well with me at all.
and at the same time, what is the law designed to uphold in a case like this? Isn't it based off of morality and values which are based off of religious beliefs? Doesn't the average human hit puberty around twelve, and isn't puberty a sign that you're ready to reproduce? It's not OK to act upon that in this country, but that's because we're in a society that says it's wrong.
All I know is that I don't believe it's OK. That's my shitty opinion. I just don't like the thought of it because it involves children. I barely believe that 18-24 are really adults... the mind set just isn't there in most cases and drinking beer and having sex doesn't qualify you as an adult in my book.

Law is usually based on fact or the consensus of morality, but yes, some 12 year olds can have kids. Nature says so. Back in the middle ages people were marrying at around that age, and thought it was right. It's all perspective.
Personally I think people should get a license to have kids.

Yeah...I'm saying we should have polygamy, I don't see anything wrong with it...why not??
On the other hand, young people should have the chance to make their own life, plus marrying a 15 year old to a 34 year old is just weird.

if polygamy were legalized, you'd have all the rich and beautiful people (like me) hoarding all the women for themselves, and all the ugly ones would be lonely and angry and would revolt. kind of like where our economy is going, but with women instead of dollars. i am not making sense.

Youd marry all of them. They'd get bored of you and bang younger dudes when you aren't looking. Imagine what that would be like getting up for a glass of water in the middle of the night.
