"The key to being ready for the rigors of performing and touring is learning both where the “scream/growl” is actually made and the specific exercises that craft the technique of “The Art of Screaming!” These exercises that renowned singing teacher, Susan M. Carr, developed in 1978 and refined during the Grunge Music scene have produced outstanding singers in the rock music industry then and today. "

A rip off of Mellisa Cross' "The Zen of Screaming"?
http://www.amazon.com/Zen-Scream…Regarding the Cross disc, there are some very good points/exercises that have a lot more to do with vocals in general. The screaming stuff is great, though. Lots of focus on how to do it safely and on a regular basis.
The biggest problem with this DVD is that 50% of the playing time is the bands she's helped saying, "Mellisa is the greatest. This helped me so much." Etc., etc. Um, I already purchased the disc, cut out the promoting and stick to the lessons. This makes it incredibly difficult to watch.
