Anyone done it?
Got a client wants to do something live on air?Tried to talk them out of it.
So - any pointers?

Recently I've been watching/listening to a lot of Twitch DJ streams. Gaslamp Killer does DJ sets of eclectic taste with some decent chat too. Vinyl Junkies does a show where he digs out his obscure vinyls and talks about them. Loving it! Much better than just a regular Dj set.
I'm thinking about getting myself setup to do something similar, play music I like with related chat.
Anyone else given it a shot?

This is the Twitch terms... i donno how Gaslamp and others get away with it... i def had warnings when playing music in the background of my dev streams in the past.
- you split it of to another channel in OBS. all channels broadcast live but only channel 1-2 are added to the vod/ analysed.kingsteven
- its not only DJs - a lot of streamers play copyrighted music continuously through their live streams using this method.kingsteven
- ofc you end up with a vod with just you dancing around and shouting, so disable vod and clips :) The DJ programme requires you disable vod and clips anyway.kingsteven

The DJ Program is a game changer to be able to play almost anything on live stream and not get your knuckles rapped!
To monetise your streams you need to become a partner or something. To do this you need to stream for over 4 hours during a month and have something like more than 3 listeners per stream. So seems doable.
You sign up for third party services where you stream to them from OBS or whatever and they then send your stream off to twitch, youtube, kick, Tokyo > instagram etc as livestreams. The software also consolidate all the chat.

Noice, yeah ive done some streaming for my music stuff in the past (making beats live) and ive used Restream to stream out to Youtube, Facebook, Twitch, Tiktok all at once, but i think Streamlabs also has a service. I ended up just sticking with restream and do Twitch + Youtube for free i believe (i think you pay per *extra* service past the first 2) Streamlabs is like $30 a month or something but then you can hit everything ezpz.
