Yo digdre, i like the 'vodaphone' ones,
just make em more your own.
When working with labels already try to implement them,
see how they work.
Just get some photos of labels from getty and see how they
work applied.

If I were you, I'd fuck off trying to implement the EDGE in the logo type, and come up with a discreet form that does the same job. Something that you could add, in wee, to a label, sans-text. I'd want it to to fit it into a 1cm2 form, in such a manner that it can tolerate the 'resolution' of threading. Once that's done, just tack on whatever font is in season, and update every year or so.
