Flash, why do the vectors work like a weird mix between ms paint and clay, fucking useless grid, fucking useless pen tool, no real way to size brushes (relative to zoom level WTF?), the new don't export hidden layers by default option, the crappy faked window border which messes up the focus at least once a week, that shit new compilation error list, actionscript is fucking lame (processing etc make it look like a joke, I could capture and process a webcam image in under 5 minutes in processing), can't select vector points and move them with arrow keys most of the time, shift+arrow keys movement is relative to the zoom, crap gradients, movement looks horrible and amateurish compared to other forms of animation, still no decent hardware acceleration yet, fucking AMATEURISH optimisation on the mac version, doesn't even have a fucking foreach/each command on arrays
Pile of fucking shit, thank god for Webkit, Gecko, MooTools, jQuery and Processing for making the net a better place

Modern.. you've got some decent points, but chill the fuck out man. ;)
The vector/bitmap mixture is odd, but if you understand the behavior it's perfectly fine. It can do everything you want it to, you just need to "select" it the appropriate way. No big deal.
Actionscript is fucking great man. AS and processing are different and will always be different.
Gradient tool does suck. Sucks big disgusting ass.
And I blame Mac for being the worst OS humanly imaginable. But that's just me being biased. (Develop on Windows. Now.)
- A lot of the vector/bitmap is legacy, as early versions did not have the pen tool for the beziers.SoulFly
