Don't you think it be better if they went back to the good enough screen size and stopped selling that junk food and playing documentaries instead of shit movies like indiana jones 4 - world peace would be achieved. id go to the movies to see the atom series that bbc made or planet earth over indiana jones 4, i wanted to leave the theater when he went into the fridge and and survived. Here is a good business make a theater that plays educational videos and stuff that deals with the planet. i'm not saying all movies are bad, but no wonder people can't wake up.

Why don't you get into this business yourself. You can ask Hedge, he may invest into your idea, he just made a ton of money

How can running a theater for you and seven other liberal arts majors be a good business. Ok, maybe a fun/interesting sort of good, but not a profitable "my kid can afford those braces now" kind of good.
Also, location matters. SF, CHI, NY, and others have great art houses that play amazing films and documentaries. Truth be told, there's NetFlix, the internet, and tv to compete with now days. Theaters are great, but are becoming a novelty for many (I try to go once a week, but I live in a town where an independent movie is Lars and the Real Girl, so Im limited).
Also, documentaries are worth watching mostly because they are created by those with a passion of objective journalism or unobstructed observation. Sadly, I believe if they became profitable we would have fat millionaires taking on legitimate arguments that need to be addressed and invalidating them with skewed editing and personal bias.
Still if you want to create this I'll be the first in line with my sack of organic cheese and wheat crackers.

There's a great single screen theater in the Old Town neighbothood of Alexandria, VA. They bring meals to your seats, have a liquor license (and even put out a few tables on the sidewalk at night to maintain it) and are set up for live musical and spoken word/stand-up performances. During the weekday afternoon hours, you can select from their DVD library or bring your own in to watch whatever you choose.
They are currently struggling to stay in business.

My gf and I go to a smaller theater near our house maybe every other Sunday or so in the early afternoon. So far the past 5 movies we've seen we're the only two in the theater. We pay half price then when the movie is done we'll walk into another movie that's playing. It's pretty awesome and you know what why am I writing this... go hump a tree and gtfo.
