Amsterdam is generally just a medley of Pantone warm and cool greys... But hey, the winter is a joke compared to Canada...
- Eastern Canada. Vancouver isn't much different than Amsterdam in the winter.2cents

Just a heads up, maybe you can achieve you're dream's if you stop referring to your environment in hex form :)

"Amsterdam is generally just a medley of Pantone warm and cool greys... But hey, the winter is a joke compared to Canada..."
I had a friend who went to work for Interbrand Amsterdam and for the first few weeks they gave him the company flat right in the middle of town. He was a total liability at all times, a disastermaster on legs. It was the very very very depths of winter and it was snowing like mad and freezing cold. I went over to spend a weekend there with him.
I met him in a bar and then we went to drop all my stuff off at the flat. We got in and I dropped everything off, and also removed my coat as it was hot in there and we were going to have a bit of toke before going out for the night. So I just had a light cotton shirt on at the point where he said "Come and have a look at this" and proceeded to walk back out the flat, down the stairs and out to the street, with me behind him. We got outside and immediately that the door shut he said "OH SHIT. THE KEYS ARE INSIDE".
No money, no coat, no smokes, no fucking idea at all about how the fuck we could ever get back in to that flat.
We walked around Amsterdam all night like that, in a raging blizzard of snow. We tried taking shelter in a weird gangstery brothel at one point, and we actually ended up in a very hardcore gay leather bar by the very early hours sharing a beer that had been abandoned hours earlier.
Good Times.
- If I'm really honest we were in the leather bar all along. I made the rest of it up.Spookytim
- so we have met before then...neue75_bold

- I love the thunder. Not the rain. I just want to be inside some shelter, unless I'm in the mood to get drenched.Jaline

I can't stand rain all the time (even snow is better). This is how it's been for two months:
Rain --> Humidity --> Rain --> Humidity --> Rain/Humidity --> Humidity --> Rain --> Humidity --> Rain/Humidity --> Humidity --> Rain/Humidity --> Humidity --> Rain --> Humidity --> Rain/Humidity --> Humidity --> Rain --> Humidity --> Rain --> Humidity -->
- wow and just think in about 3 mos. you'll get cold--> snow --> grey --> cold --> cold --> snow --> cold--> grey --> cold ...flashbender
- Yup. Hopefully that starts in November. Before that, we need some normal weather.Jaline
- we have maybe 3 months total in minnesota where it is actually comfortable - or really just habitable.flashbender
