...nnnrgh! I am working with a database that acts as a kind of tasklist/scheduler - where an admin adds/edits/deletes tasks to be done through the day - these tasks are completed by a member of staff who then clicks the completed button and if they want the add some comments etc..
For some reason the date that marks the task as completed and the time it was done comes up as year-month-day and not the other way round!
I am using either date or datetime in the php admin - but there is nothing I can see either within the docs themselves or on the server or database/tables etc... that gives any hint as to how to make it show as day-month-year.
Should I looking in the actual php docs or on the db? Doing my fruit in now!

You format it at output - not in the db.

...hmm! in that case I'm well stumped!!!!
this from the main php doc:
http://pastebin.com/m2adb2be1on lines 34 onwards there is reference to yr/mo/dy - but that ref's looking for previous dates - not completed dates/times man php can be confusing!!!!
