So here's my question: If Israel truly thinks Iran is trying to develop a bomb to destroy Israel with, wouldn't Iran be crazy to actually release a bomb in that region? I'm not sure how great relations are between Iran and Palestinians, Lebanon, etc. but wouldn't Iran be insane to do anything that could affect other Muslims, ie: rendering a tremendous amount of territory unusable for decades?

i guess the problem is not primarily an attack, but the powershift that would happen if iran got the bomb. the bomb is israels only life insurance right now, surrounded as it is. if iran has the bomb, the strategic advantage is gone. and the problem is that nobody can tell just how crazy the iranians really are. i understand that they don´t want to take chances.

Iran wont actualy hit Israel, as they know there are too many Muslims and the 3rd Holy Site of Islam is there (Al-Aqsa/Temple Mount). Israel is the one that has all the nuclear weapons and won't mind sending them out to Iran (there are Iranian Jews,but I think Iran is a bigger country). I doubt either country would use nuclear weaponry, Israel is still surrounded by Arab/Muslim countries that hate its guts.

If you think as in numbers. Even if some Muslims got killed by a bomb, that would worth if you erase Israel from the map. That's what every body does in wars. Or do you think an army go to war expecting to come back intact?

They (Media/US/Israel) always tell you that Iran will nuke Israel off the map, but I think thats simply dumb. Israel occupies most of what was Palestine, it has settlements all over Palestine, so you can't just nuke Israel with no care for Palestinians - the very people Iran is fighting for and against the occupation - the whole/only reason there is a tension with Israel in the first place. So the notion that Iran would nuke Israel is, in my opinion, just a scare tactic and clearly unintelligent. I'm no supporter of Iran (and not ruling out that they wont do it), but I think Israel has little care in what it does - its long history of relentless attacks and occupation of Egypt, Lebanon and sorites over Syria/Iran - prove that Israel isn't scared to go at it alone (with nukes and all).
