I'm trying to update an old G4 Power Book from OS X 10.28 to OS X 10.4 but I'm having trouble finding OS X 10.3 on Apple's site. Anyone know of any other resources that might have OS X updates?

I think OS 10.3 (Panther) was a proper full 'purchase upgrade' not a free upgrade. You'll need the Full 10.3 retail DVD.

you should just buy 10.4 and install it...

you should just buy 10.5 and install it...
- Depends on how old the G4 powerbook is. My old PB was 800mhz, which is below the required speed for 10.5...skwiotsmith
- yeah i dont recommend putting 10.5 on thereTheTofuFactory

If you are going to 10.4 you don't need 10.3...

Thanks guys. (ribit) It says that I need 10.3 on the Apple site. I actually upgraded it for free before over the years but I recently wiped the system and it went back down to 10.28 so I now can't open stuff that only works in 10.4.

Do you mean Apple says they don't support later than 10.3 on that model?
(you never need a past version to install any version)

Oh ok. No Apple never said that. I ran 10.4 on it a week ago before I did the re-install. I just looked at the System requirements for 10.4 and this is what it says:
http://www.apple.com/support/dow…I found 10.3.3 but it said that I need 10.3 to install it so I'm basically looking for 10.3 so I can upgrade step by step.
