i'm looking for reccomendations for a digital voice recorder. I'm looking to spend a maximum of $100. More interested in audio quality than features as I can edit the audio on my mac. any advice appreciated.

You'll want something with a USB port so you don't have to transfer realtime. To find that under $100 is gonna be tough, but i think Olympus has one that's 44kHz max sampling rate

It's not bad. Some phlanging. If you use a Mac you'll want to download Switch so you can transfer the WMA's it makes to aif's or mp3's

a bit more expensive, but it's got stereo mics, flash card memory, and up to 96khz sample rate. i've recorded live bands with these and it sounds pretty amazing. http://www.sweetwater.com/store/…

thanks guys, it looks like it's probably worth the extra cash to get the zoom h2. that looks sweet. whatever i get, i need it to be portable.
