I think Kelpie raises some strong points, which you shouldn't be so quick to dismiss. Off-hand responses such as "thats what back buttons are for on the browser ?" undermine your supposed expertise in the field of web usability by showing that you don't really appreciate how people, perhaps stupidly, actually use the internet.

I, for one, quite like the overwhelming greenness of it - it doesn't in any way bother me, though I often rue the lack of stronger colour schemes on'tinternet. Perhaps, if it were me, I might add in a slight gradient near the top, to distinguish the buttons a bit more (ie. have a darkness, under the buttons, gradiating toward your green at the middle of the main body sections, or something).

I'm curious to know more about the iconographic graphics you've used, as they're quite shiny - did you do them in-house, or buy/get them in from somewhere on the web?

In sum - I think it's quite impressive, though I agree that the some of the dynamic animation is a bit pointless and showy, I think you need to resolve the internal navigation on the FAQ section and that you should limit scaling to the horizontal axis.

dont worry dude. its all being listened to... and fyi usability states dont replace functions of the browser.

the icons are some freeware ones as the sites an interim presence while the bigger solution is produced.

re the animation, just trying to add in some wow-factor for the client, yes its showey and gratuitous and will probably be replaced in the first revision ;)

    • also there IS a gradient falling into the centre, its just v subtle ;)trooper

DONT show that the zoom to the client.

It's like giving a machine gun to a 8 year old. The client has no clue how annoying this might be to a potential customer and your job is to avoid the client of having stupid ideas like making every element in the page fly around or visitor counters.

    • its ther to make a sale. just like what FI do with flash, its zizzle, after a few weeks i'll point out that 'maybe' its a hinderance to salestrooper
    • interesting concept, you should run for an AD job somewheremhr
