in all seriousness trooper - you need to look at spacing & hierarchy
- Midge0
Elpasso, I think you missed the point, it looks like a DM letter, the space at the top is obviously for a name , address etc etc... so he trooper probably can;"move this shit up". would agree with your other comments but have done a bit of DM like this - and if you start adding too much heirachy it actually ends up looking overworked and it gets ignored. in my humble experience anyway.
With regards to the res trooper - just do a proof - they look a bit dodgey - but at first glance - but a proof will tell you. good luck.

"if you start adding too much heirachy it actually ends up looking overworked and it gets ignored"
not sure i understand what you mean by 'adding too much'
you define hierarchy - you dont add it.
in terms of mailers and such communications - the best typography is meant to go unnoticed.but yes - i missed the point on the mail merge thing (although the bottom spacing still looksawkwardlytight)

Try exporting as a PDF X1a? The file needs to meet certain standards in order to make the X1a file (resolution, cmyk, etc...although, I'm not sure how thorough it checks the file)

Resolution in your images my man....where is it?
- horton0
sounds like you may have low quality image downsize and compression settings in your PDF export.
check the compression panel. if its for print and file size isn't an issue i'd recommended turning all off.

i don't like x1-a unless the printer requires it.. transparency flattening is always hella messy and seems to *almost* unnecessary these days.

good catch antonelli.
