i'm assuming trying to speak to her rationally about why she's bad-mouthing you has not gone well? i find people often forget to just have a calm conversation and try to get to the real source of the conflict, so i figured i'd ask.

Being rational has not worked.
- maybe you misunderstand what she wants********

Maybe this'll cheer ya up:
Years ago Woody Allen told a joke about how his ex-wife was suing him for slander. He had made an unkind remark about her. Apparently she was in the subway in NY was 'violated.' Someone 'violated' her on the train.
It was in the papers, and they asked Woody to comment on it. To which he said,
"Knowing my ex-wife, I'm sure it was not a moving violation.":D

Grow up and ignore the silly bitch, make sure you are nice to your son and your friends, basically slander is what children do and your just as much of a child if you react to it. She says something that is a lie about you ignore it, who gives a fuck who she is talking to if they listen and agree then they aren't worth shit, if they challenge you about it just simply say 'I'm not going to discuss these things further that this as they are lies, I am simply going to have to ignore it and hope she stops, I love my son and am going to bring him up well, I have good friends and shall keep them that way'.
If you are true to yourself and your son and friends a lawsuit is not needed and you can sleep at night knowing that you have real friends (the ones that stick by you and an honest relationship with your son). If folk believe her shite then they are not worth it.

Does this by chance have anything to do with custody over your son? Otherwise, it takes two as they say...unless she is just mentally ill, it seems reasonable to assume that you played some role in this situation, no?

If given the choice, I really do believe a child should be raised by his mother. I was raised by my father first, then my mother took over and I really enjoyed being raised by my mom. I am not fighting her for custody but she is trying to take my rights as a father away which I dont understand.
- I think it's more about how the personalities mesh together. If my parents split up, I would've preferred my dad.Jaline
- i'm telling your momCALLES
- go ahead.Jaline
- my mom is nice to people outside of her family (although meaning well), and can be crazy. so have fun...Jaline
- hahaCALLES
- It's weird, I think boys would rather be with their mothers, and girls with their fathers.********
- Freud?********
- I was thinking that too, but trust me. You don't know my mom.Jaline
- Haha well not yet. And taking Freud out of this, I feel that in the sexes the same suited parental figure holds their gender to a higher standard.********
- gender to a higher standard.********
- Fathers tend to want their boys to be men earlier, and Mothers tend to not put up with the "normal" teenage girl stuff.********
- You're completely right. But my mom is more nice to people she doesn't know.Jaline

do it smart. Cover yourself while approaching the offense with the means of retaining your rights for the best interest of your son/daughter. I wouldn't bring myself down to the level of somebody who is antagonistic who is only looking for a reaction that is, i would guess, is unworthy of your intellect. Though sounds like she is acting out of a spite of cirumstance??

so, i've been reading all the responses to dskz's posts and it's funny how everyone is so quick to judge without hearing both sides of the story... if dskz's perception of taking away his rights to our son is my limiting his visitation based on his being an unfit parent, then that's his problem.... examples:
1. if something should happen to our son, you take care of it and then let me know what happens after
2. when our son turns 18, i will roll his first joint and have a smoke with him
3. i have no problem leaving our son (who will be 2 next month) with someone who is high
4. i don't see a need to enroll him in a prepaid college plan.. we can use that money for other things, like go out every week and spend the money on clothes for myself
5. let me spend my money on buying unnecessary equpiment (new computer when there are two at home), iphone, ipod, dj equipment..etc... and not bothering to buy his son a Christmas presentand the list goes on and on....
- ********0
wow shes a monster.
1. I said if its a small deal like him breaking a nail, take care of it and let me know. Of course I would want to know if its a big deal.
2. I said that if he wants to smoke weed, as an adult, I will roll it up for him and light er up with him. I will also warn him about the dangers of abuse.
3. I do have a problem with leaving my son with someone who is very high but if I know that person is responsible and had a joint earlier in the day, i will not have a problem with it as long as they are not out of their mind.
Just like if someone had a beer im not going to freak out if Im leaving my kid with him.
4. We couldnt afford it at the time.
5. Computers get outdated: "I needs my tools"
Im sorry to all QBNers for this. Please dont delete my account I will change my password but trust me it doesnt help. This lady is violating my rights and she works in a HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT.
- Look if this is a joke, not funny. If real. STOP FUCKING POSTING.TheBlueOne

and his claim of slander? he's just angry that i have a case against him and he feels like he's the victim in all of this.... am i doing this out of spite? absolutely not.. i'm looking out for what is in the best interest of our son.... and until he gets his shit together and realizes that our son should be a priority in his life, then you better believe that i will do everything i can to protect my son from someone who has no clue as to what it means to be a parent... i am not punishing him, b/c it's not about him, it's about what is in the best interest of our son. and if anyone out there disagrees with me, then then more power to you and to dskz....
btw, i'm not angry with his post..not at all... i just find it hilarious that he tells everyone out there his version of the truth... the point to my response isn't to insult dskz.. it's simply my way of expressing my frustrations and does everyone else on this site.. so have a great day all!
