matching blacks

I am have a cmyk jpeg and eps with a black background sitting on a black shape in indesign..
when i print the photoshop black comes up richer. The cymk values are the same?
I need them to match? any thoughts?

have you tried using the eye dopper tool to find out what the various blacks are?

either convert the jpeg to greyscale, or make the jpeg a tif or something more print friendly... colour profiles might be different...

sorry i seem to find grammer on a monday morning hard....
I am trying to get them to print out the same black? I have eye dropped them and the are the same. I will try a tiff.

it should be fine on press if indeed they are the same black... I have problems like this too with InDesign and rich CMYK blacks, so I find it easier to gauge with greyscale and making both just 100% K...

make sure you havent embedded a colour profile on the images

do all the black shapes in one program also
